Hey there! How ya doing? Yeah, we know it's been a while, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t thinking about you. And thinking about what you might be thinking about.
We were doing other things, too, like being alive, prepping med students for exams and coursework success, and other life-oriented activities. Even amidst the pursuit of a most elusive Pokemon, we were still thinking, “Hmmm. What sort of things are concerning our listeners these days?” So we had a bunch of meetings, did a lot of research, interviewed some really smart people, all from which arose a glorious, if tardy, Season Two.
It’s coming folks, and not a second [wink] too soon.
Too many doctors and medical students are dying by suicide and too few people are talking about it. In our season finale, we point to the many contradictions and deficits in medical education and ask ourselves how we can make a difference.
Our guest doctors help us deconstruct—if not solve—some of the more challenging quandaries regularly presented to women in medicine, questions to which no one seems to have the answers. Featuring Drs. Zina Semenovskaya, Patsy Bowman Aiken, Scott Bader, Haren Heller Dane and Emma Husain.
Science kind of shakes its head at the whole “lunar effect” phenomenon, but ask an OB/GYN or emergency medicine doc and they will tell you that some of their craziest experiences occurred during full moons. So skeptics, consider yourselves on notice.
